This is a sort of personal experience and frankly I am not sure what it means, but it certainly is very curious. By personal I am not indicating that it shares many intimate details about my life or the life of my client.
I wonder if any of my readers have ever dreamed about anyone else’s dream? I woke up this morning not even realizing that my dream was a dream. It appeared in my mind, more in the manner of a memory. I remembered seeing a TV news report of a plane crash and thinking at the time in the ‘dream’ to myself, I’ll have to tell Jill that her dream misfortunately came true. It took me a few minutes of wandering through my morning, making and drinking coffee, to realize that I had seen no such news report, so it must have been a dream. The screen that I had seen the news report on was slightly smaller than my own TV, which is not really very big. And I was watching in a very dimly lit room.
Several days ago I had received a terse email from Jill entitled Dream:
“There was a plane crash on U.S. Soil. Shortly after takeoff. I don’t know which air line . or where it was going. In the dream I was supposed to be on the next flight of the same airline. Obviously I wasn’t. Jill”
She later asked me if I thought the dream might be precognitive. Since she had had precognitive dreams in the past, I told her that she should monitor the news for a few days to see if it happened. I then basically forgot about it.
As far as I know there have been no such occurrences that would match Jill’s dream as of yet. Obviously at some point in the future a plane crash will happen in the US. So it raises a number of questions. How long a window does one give such a dream to manifest? She was very upset by the dream as she expressed in subsequent emails. I told her to watch for 72 hours. This was somewhat arbitrary, but since the dream was not that specific, at least in the details given to me, I thought it was fair.
What is weirder to me is my dream, which I did not remember as a dream, but as a news report actually seen. I have never to my knowledge dreamed of someone else’s dream. Also my dream had no context that it was part of, other than that I was watching TV. Furthermore, Jill, though a very nice person, is not a major player in my life. I speak to many people everyday who are in some ways closer to me.
The part that is curious and almost troubling, is the way that my dream presented itself to me this morning as a memory, not a dream. Is it possible that I was tapping in to some alternate reality? I’m not sure, but it is now an entry in my dream journal and it will be interesting to see if the experience is meaningful in retrospect.
I made a very quick check on the internet to see if there were any reports about someone dreaming about another person’s dream and there were not. There are reports of dream sharing especially in other cultures wherein dreams play a bigger role in the life of the community. Dream sharing is when two or more people have the same dream and sometimes they report seeing one another in that dream. It is thought that this can be enhanced through practice and intention.
Update: This story gets even stranger. In the early morning of January 28, 2017, I had a very long dream. The part of it that is significant is as follows: I come out of a building and sit down on a wooden deck on a wooden bench in the sun. It appears to be a resort setting. It is warm out. I see young men who seem to be employees arranging items in the near distance. I call out to one of them, asking what is happening. He says he is preparing for the parade. A bit later it is evening and there is a cocktail party happening. I am a bit uncomfortable because of the flirting and fancy dress of the occasion. Lots of “the beautiful people” in their thirties are in attendance. Then it turns cold and it is daytime again and there are more wooden benches like bleachers. I am in a big down coat trying to save a place for myself and a friend who will be joining me. There is much jostling and minor dramas occur, but everyone is civil. But the parade never happens! I leave the scene with my friend and we walk through a beautiful pedestrian plaza at nighttime.
On January 30, 2017 I receive the following email missive from my client who I have not spoken with: “I had a dream that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady had split up.. She wanted out..and she got out. It was a dream that I had this A/m/ (sic) when I have psychic dreams. Also I dreamt I was trying to get them back together.. Hey, I don’t even know them.. It was a dream. There was a parade forming for a holiday when I tried to get them together.. She just up and walked…” Again, here, the parade never happened.
Someone I know suggested that the parade that doesn’t happen could be connected to the Super Bowl. I have zero interest in football. I did not even realize there was a parade connected to it nor did I know the date it was being played or who the teams are. I have zero interest in spectator sports and avoid watching them.
I guess time will tell if this dream subject will have any further significance.

Extraterrestrial evolution is a topic of great interest to me in a number of ways. The thought of this may be bizarre to many people, but perhaps it shouldn’t be. There are four factors that come immediately to mind.
This blog post will deal mostly with this fourth factor, that is, the open question. It has been both rumored and openly stated that NASA and JPL have quashed reports and evidence of life on Mars and other spheres. Most prominently I think of assertions made by Dr. John Brandenburg, formerly of NASA, about advanced life on Mars; and of evidence of certain findings of primitive organisms (crinoids) visually identical to Earth organisms discovered by Dr. Richard Hoover, 46 year veteran NASA astrobiologist and “Inventor of the Year”. In fact, I wrote a blog post about that a few years ago that can be accessed HERE. This is particularly important to the the rest of my thinking on this subject of extraterrestrial evolution.
If the organism found by JPL on Mars is, in actuality, largely identical to those found on Earth, it seems to point to the idea that extraterrestrial life might always or often evolve in the same or similar manner. One frequently discussed concept that follows in this direction is the controversial idea that some extraterrestrials who have purportedly visited the Earth are Reptilians. The theory goes something like this: if the dinosaurs who once inhabited the Earth were not killed off by a comet or large meteor which struck the Gulf of Mexico at end of the Cretaceous Period, would they have perhaps evolved into self conscious bipedal beings who might roam the galaxy? And if so, is it not possible or indeed likely that on other suitable planets in the galaxy or beyond such Reptilians might exist, if in fact, evolution follows a similar model everywhere? In this discussion somewhere, one must consider non-human very intelligent life forms right here on Earth that have not developed with bi-lateral symmetry. I am thinking here of cephalopods like squid. That might derail the similar evolution everywhere theory as the sole way life could evolve.
On the other hand, is it possible or likely that evolution throughout the cosmos looks nothing like Earthly evolution? I’d say certainly that is possible and in certain circumstances probable. One probable circumstance resulting in a different evolutionary pattern might be an environment where the building blocks of life are not carbon based or not dependent on water or oxygen. Dear Reader, does your definition of “life” depend on breathing or respiration? Furthermore, should it? Perhaps consciousness is a better definition of life than taking breath.
But are these ideas of evolution in the cosmos mutually exclusive? I don’t think so. Ponder this: perhaps life develops in a similar evolutionary pattern where carbon and water are available, and totally differently where they are not. I am not stating conclusively that this is the case, but it certainly provides food, no a feast, for thought.

After having Dr. Stanley Krippner on “Shattered Reality Podcast” at the end of July speaking about precognitive dreams amongst other things, I have been mulling over dreams I have had recently. A bit over a week ago I had a dream wherein two people I did not recognize, walked out of a woods toward a road in a place I did not recognize, carrying with them a number of rescued kittens, one of whom was a white female kitten. I was intensely interested in the white kitten and the woman carrying it offered it to me to adopt. I accepted the offer but that is where the dream ended. Several days later, I saw a video on my FaceBook feed from “the Dodo”, which was remarkably like my dream, but minus my participation. I was extremely intrigued by this, though it did not materially affect my life. Something that has become apparent to me recently is that often I dream about people I don’t know or know of, that is they are not famous people.
Last night or more precisely in the wee hours of the morning I woke up from my sleep and was thinking about programming a dream. This time I decided to loosely (very loosely, since I was still a bit snoozed) use the technique employed by Dale Graff, a dream researcher and fellow member of IRVA and SSE. I asked for a dream about a future event I might see in the newspaper on the third or fourth page. Sadly in my half snoozed state, I failed to put a date on the newspaper. Sorry Dale, my bad.
As planned, I shortly fell back to sleep with my intention in mind. I dreamed I was at a PATH train station in Hoboken NJ going with my class to NYC to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) trains go from urban New Jersey to several locations on the lower westside of Manhattan. Unfortunately the fare had just been raised to $4.00. It is currently $2.75. My entire class went through the turnstile but I did not have exact change, which in my dream had to be in singles and/or quarters. This is at least partially true, because at the Hoboken station, in order to get a one way ticket to insert into the turnstile, you need to put such a combination into the ticket machine.
A very thin, odd looking woman, with day-glo red and pink hair that stood up on end, tried to help me. I had put most of the fare into the turnstile but was missing some coins. She stood guard as I ran about frantically looking for change. Amazingly I found that my jacket pocket on the left side was stuffed with $20 bills! How had that happened? I was now afraid of losing them. As I raced back to the turnstile the rooster-haired woman was leaving the station. Someone had just gone through the turnstile that had at least $3.50 of my money in it.
Not to be thwarted, I fished a bus ticket out of my wallet and got on the bus for Manhattan bound for the Port Authority Building hoping to catch up with my fellow art students going to the museum. When I got to the Port Authority building I ran into my friend, ESJ, who offered me a flattened but tasty cookie filled with a chewy vanilla marshmallow. It was delicious.
Here I will digress. In the past several years I have noticed the ability to smell and taste things in my dreams. I wonder how many people do this? I know studies have been done on who dreams in color versus black and white. For me, it is color, though some dreams have more vivid color than others.
The dream concluded with ESJ going to a bakery counter on the second floor of the PA and purchasing piping hot almond biscotti freshly cut and out of the oven. Yum. Apparently I forgot about my class in my delight.
When I awoke I had vertigo. I also discovered that the night (09/17/2016) before I had dined at an Italian restaurant in Chelsea around the corner from where a small pressure cooker bomb had exploded an hour after I’d left the restaurant. On the corner near the explosion is a PATH train station which is currently closed over the weekend and I now learn, until further notice. I did not learn of the explosion until today (09/18/2016). In my dream I was at a station on the Jersey side, so this may be entirely coincidental.
I will be interested to discover if the PATH train fares increase in the near future.
Note: Pay attention to your dreams and journal them. Precognitive dreams can be had by anyone, but you have to respect and remember your dreams and treat them as valuable.
Postscript: Yesterday September 29, 2016, there was a terrible train crash in Hoboken NJ. My condolences and deepest sympathies go out to the victims of that crash. The train station and the PATH train are located in the same complex, indeed the track on which the train crashed was the one furthest north and nearest to the PATH train and the PATH train was shut down for several hours yesterday.
In addition, money for fixing the trains has been discussed heavily in the local news today. Seems as though the transportation experts had been warning NJ that they needed to make safety changes at the Hoboken station.
Did my dream have significant elements in it regarding this tragedy or was it a coincidence? I make no claims and indeed this event is very saddening and sobering. Although I work as an intuitive, I am not an expert in using dreams to forecast things. It is a discipline with which I am working and trying to learn from. If I were remote viewing, I would not have hit a bull’s eye, but probably have been told I went to the right location. But I put this forth; I don’t ever remember dreaming about going to the Hoboken PATH station before. I have lived most of my life not very far away from it, whether in lower Manhattan or nearby NJ, and in my recollection, nothing anywhere near this significant has happened there or so close by. I do not regularly ride the NJ Transit trains and can’t remember having ever rode on the line that crashed. I now would not be at all surprised if all these fares go up.
In a situation like this it is abundantly clear why in remote viewing protocol there are a number of viewers tasked with a target, because different viewers can bring different pieces of the target together.
Again, deepest respectful sympathies to all killed, hurt or traumatized by this tragedy.

J.S. was born a feral cat in a colony of feral cats fed by a kind cat lover. He is all black, except for a few white hairs where one might imagine a belly button, and very soft. One day when he was a kitten I am told he was hit by a car but survived. The kind cat lady took him into her home, thought “he” was a “she”, nurtured him back to health and gave him up for adoption at a PetSmart store. There he was discovered to be a boy and neutered.
One day when J.S. was about four months old I entered his life. I had come back to PetSmart a number of times to see a strikingly handsome tiger boy cat who was about 8 months old. Two sisters were manning (or womanning) the adoption area. These two volunteers are great cat lovers, I was to find out. They introduced me to the tiger boy cat who was rather too pugnacious to adapt easily to my home and the big ginger tom that already owned the space. But they wanted me to meet J.S. who was very shy and huddled in his enclosure.
I petted him and he trembled a bit, and I said to myself “why not?” and paid the adoption fee and took him to meet the big ginger tom (herein after referred to as BGT). J.S. lived in the bathroom for a couple of days so the cats could take in each other’s scent. After releasing J.S. he hid a lot for the first few weeks, but it was clear he was enamored with BGT. BGT did not attack J.S. and allowed him to eat, but hissed and batted him if he came too close.
Flash forward a bit over two years: situation mostly unchanged. J.S. is aloof towards most people and hides when company comes. BGT still hisses and bats. J.S. still exhibits devotion to BGT and follows him around. BGT spends the night close to me on my bed. I’m sure he thinks it is his bed. J.S. often waits until BGT is sound asleep and sneaks in next to him on the bed. If he is lucky BGT doesn’t notice him and J.S. is very happy and purring, but more often he sleeps on the windowsill near the bed. J.S. is now nearly as big as BGT and frankly a bit chubby.
I woke up one morning a couple of days ago and surveyed my surroundings, seeing J.S. on the windowsill looking in my direction and BGT sleeping against my hip. Then I thought my thoughts. J.S. is probably hoping I’ll get up and feed him, little fatty. I wonder if he likes me at all? He is probably only in my room because this is where BGT sleeps. I wonder if he will ever be loving towards me.
I hadn’t moved yet at all except for opening my eyes. At that moment J.S. walked over to the head of my bed and jumped on board settling himself under my armpit and kissing my nose. He stayed there for ten minutes until I had to get up and begin my day. He had never done that before. Who says cats aren’t telepathic?

Disclaimer: Now is always the most important time in a very basic honest way because as Eckhart Tolle says, it is always now. There has never been a time when it was not now. We must always attempt to be fully present in the now and accept the reality of our current situation or anything we might attempt to do or change will ring false and probably fail. That being said it is fine to make plans or hatch ideas to change one’s life for the better. This post is about the best time of day to do exactly that.
For many years I have been extremely interested in the liminal state, that state of mind that occurs mostly right before we fall asleep at night and right before we are fully awake in the morning. The liminal state is a threshold state between waking and sleeping. Our brainwaves are different then. In the waking state our brains produce primarily beta waves. As we edge towards sleep in the liminal state the brain is producing more alpha waves and intuition and psi functioning becomes much sharper. This is a wonderful time to program one’s mind to achieve one’s highest goals.
Sadly, many persons spend their last waking moments, moments that are ripe with promise, in a state of worry and general negativity, visualizing the worst possible outcomes to all problems from the minutiae of life to global concerns. For a person who would like to change their life for the better this is the BIGGEST mistake they can make. Chances are that most nights before you go to sleep you are in your own bed, warm and relatively safe. (The following technique is still useful even if you are not in this ideal circumstance .) If you are lucky enough to be warm and safe in your own bed, take a moment to acknowledge this and be very thankful for this blessing. Another good thing to do is to think of three other things for which you are thankful. Realize that at this moment all is OK in your world, whatever seemingly negative interactions you may have had in your day are over and many of tomorrow’s worries are likely never to come to pass. Your NOW is good, you are safe and warm.
Once you have been thankful that you are indeed OK and are in full realization of this truth, visualize one scenario of something you would like to happen tomorrow. Think of this scenario only in the positive present tense. Do not put the idea out to the Universe that anything might go wrong. Remain entirely positive. A good simple example of this might be a student who has spent some time during the evening studying for a test. She has done the basic practical preparedness of being familiar with the materials to be tested. Many otherwise good students would then worry themselves to sleep which would likely lower their scores. Our wiser student would visualize herself taking the test and acing all the questions happily. She will do better than the worrier. After the test is over, it is very helpful to visualize getting the test back and seeing a high score on the paper. In this example you see that our wise student has done the basic practical thing she should do to succeed (by studying) and then she has put the icing on her cake by confidently visualizing success, plus she has chosen the best time of day to do it, when her brain is entering the receptive liminal state.
Why is this so, you may ask? It is because consciousness has a demonstrable effect on 4D reality and matter, which is really frozen energy and mostly empty space if we really drill down on it. That is shorthand for a lot of serious theories of physics and a lot of repeatable experimentation in the area of parapsychology and consciousness studies. If you don’t believe me, read the literature. It is not the purpose of this post to explore those details here, because that is better done in other venues. Simply put, conscious intention can tip things in your favor on average by 5-6%.
Another thing to be done during the liminal state is to meditate, to clear one’s mind as completely as possible of thoughts and concentrate on one’s breathing or on one’s sense of their energy body, their inner self. Inevitably a thought will arise. Just put it aside gently and continue not to think at all. Repeating a mantra can be helpful. “Ommm” “I am a being of pure love” “God is Love” or even just “Peace” can work. Occasionally an idea will arise seemingly out of nowhere which may be the long sought after answer to a problem. This may be regarded as divine inspiration, higher self insight or creativity. If nothing arises, that is wonderful too, because the peace of mind gained greatly surpasses all the worry and negative self talk that is sabotaging one’s life.
There is also a perhaps briefer liminal state available upon natural waking in the morning. Alarm clocks are the bane of this brief period. If you have woken naturally this is a good time for dream recollection, thankfulness and goal setting for the day. If you have the luxury of lying in bed at that time it is also a wonderful time to meditate.
The most important take-away from this post should be to be mindful of what you allow yourself to think about during the liminal state for these thoughts may manifest as reality in your future.

For the past week or so I have been thinking about traditions associated with the New Year. It seems like some people think it is the day you are given off from work to recover from a hang over. Others watch the Rose Parade or eat dinner with their family. People who believe they have bad habits make New Year’s resolutions to change them. So I decided to write a post about the New Year’s traditions and customs of people I know. It would be easy to just write down things gathered by others on the Internet, but I wanted customs that living people have seen or done themselves.
In my family when I was a child there were two odd traditions we practiced. The first bite of food had to be an apple on New Year’s morning or you might be sickly that year. This was meant to insure health and well being for the year. As an adult I continued this tradition and added something. I the apple cut in half sideways and a new star can be seen that no one has ever seen before. This is particularly appealing to children, especially if they are told that you and they are the only ones who will ever see this New Year’s Star and they can make a wish on it before they eat it.
We also ate pickled herring, at least one piece, during that day, as a start to the major meal. My father was particularly adamant about that. I didn’t much care for the taste as a kid. I wonder if this tradition was rooted in the fact that all male members of my father’s family worked in the ship building business at some time in their lives and this hailed back generations to North Atlantic and North Sea origins. Even my mother’s father and his family worked in this trade and he shared the herring tradition.
A French friend, Vanessa, told me of a special egg dish made with truffles, called brouillade aux truffes, that her family ate for breakfast on New Year’s morning. It features softly scrambled eggs, black truffles and a lot of butter. A Greek-American friend, Marina, spoke about a special bread called Vasilopita, that her mother ordered ahead from the local baker in Astoria. It is round and sweet and inside it there is one coin. The head of the household would cut the bread. The first piece was for Jesus, the second for the household, the third for the father, the fourth for the mother, and then the next pieces were for the children in age order, starting with the oldest. Whoever received the coin in their piece was very lucky because it was considered that the new year would be their year.
Angie, an African American woman from the South (who works with another friend of mine) cleans her home meticulously in preparation for the New Year. Everything in the home must be cleaned including all linens, curtains, shelves etc. so her family can make a fresh new start for the year. Not to do so would insure bad luck. On the other side of that coin, I have heard it said that to enter the New Year with an empty pantry can bring poverty or hunger in the coming year.
A former schoolmate of mine, Roberta, who came to the US as an adolescent from Livorno, Italy, said that in Livorno they throw old dishes out the window to rid themselves of stale energy, but this New Year’s Eve in Florida she ate black-eyed peas for good luck.
As a child, Paul from Canada, poured molten lead into water on New Year’s Eve. He did this with his family, possibly exposing all the children to lead contamination, but at the least they could read their fortunes in the metallic globs. His family’s New Year’s tradition of pouring molten lead into water was brought over to Canada when they emigrated from northern Europe. He says he thinks it was widely practiced in the Baltic and Scandinavian countries. This is a method of scrying called molybdomancy. I’ve only ever seen it in the Djamaa el Fna in Marrakesh, Morocco, but it is popular in Germany and Finland where tin is often used instead of lead.
Auberon spent New Year’s Eve with friends of friends in the Highlands of Scotland and there they left the front door open. People came in each with a lump of coal to bring the householders a warm year. Sounds like a heartwarming custom to me!
It is possible to start your own customs and traditions. Marnie, a very health conscious organic locavore, has made her own tradition of doing a cleanse and a fast to make sure that her body has a fresh start.
On New Millennium’s Eve (inspired by the Malleus Maleficarum), Steve, a Texan, says he wore a cow mask and set off explosives to welcome in unseen entities, but he only did it once.
Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Universalist Church in Charlottesville, VA has a Labyrinth Walk every New Year’s Eve. It is a wonderful, thoughtful and meditative way to begin each new year. It is done with the intent of following and trusting one’s path for the year, knowing it will take one exactly where one wants and needs to be. The walk is accompanied by the live music of the hammered dulcimer, played in an intuitive manner that follows the energy of those walking the labyrinth. A lovely woman I know named Suzanne has been the dulcimer musician for the past 9 years. It is a very special part of her New Year tradition.
Life is made richer by traditions and customs as long as one doesn’t become obsessive-compulsive about engaging in them. Modern life is often made boring by some people’s drive for sameness. Some of these simple New Year’s customs are the most basic form of sympathetic magic, a type of magic based on imitation or correspondence. If you have any interesting or unique New Year’s customs please comment. Thanks.

I often wake in the wee hours and then go back to sleep after an hour or two. Sometimes I catch up on my favorite podcasts during that awake time. So during the early morning hours of July 28 when that happened I decided to listen to the new episode of Skeptiko, an excellent podcast hosted by Alex Tsakiris. I have heard several of Skeptiko’s Andy Paquette episodes and I am a long time fan of Stanley Krippner, so listening to the latest episode featuring Andy and mentioning Dr. Krippner, I was a happy camper.

Germanwings Flight 9525, an Airbus A320, took off at 10:01 a.m. March 24, 2015 from Barcelona, bound for Dusseldorf. The plane had 144 passengers and six crew members on board. At approximately 10:40 that plane crashed into difficult terrain near Digne-les-Bains in the French Alps. By now, dear reader, you probably know all about this very sad tragedy.
10 a.m. Barcelona time is 4 a.m. New York time. A client and friend of mine, Jill Jacobson, was at home in Brooklyn NY in the process of falling asleep. She was roused, she estimates, at 1 a.m. the morning of March 24 (3 hours before the plane took off) because words, a poem perhaps, were rolling around in her head while she was in the liminal state. She got up from bed and wrote them down. Then she promptly went back to bed and immediately went deeply to sleep. When she got up the following morning she forgot all about the words she had jotted down on the paper, perhaps because she wasn’t fully awake when she wrote them. She went outside to do some errands. When she returned home and put on Channel 7 news, she heard about the plane crash and something on the broadcast triggered the memory of the poem she wrote, something about flying and jet fuel. She went to her desk and found the note she penned during the night and this is what it said:

In the past on this blog I have pointed toward what I thought is/was the direction of “disclosure”. Now I am seeing a provocative new direction becoming widespread regarding contact with possible extraterrestrials. This is not entirely new, but the sudden widespread proliferation of these ideas on two entirely different fronts is to me a sign of things to come, a Zeitgeist if you will.
The two fronts are a.) the edge science community and b.) the ufology/experiencer community.
At a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in San Jose (February 2015), Dr. Seth Shostak of SETI, expressed the opinion that the time has come to begin the proactive search for contact with extraterrestrials. Since 1960 (first incarnation) SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) has pointed an array of radio telescopes at the heavens in hopes of discovering a radio signal from another civilization in space. There have only been minor results. The criticism of this method is simply that the “radio age” on Earth has been short, beginning in the 2oth Century and tapering off in the 21st Century, so why radio waves? See Stanton Friedman’s argument here.
Shostak believes that we should attempt to send the contents of the Internet out toward “goldilocks” exoplanets that are being discovered currently. The assumption here is that these planets are most likely to harbor technologically advanced beings. (Forgive me, I digress here to multiple daydreams of gelatinous squid-like aliens reading my blog [and others], watching multiple cat videos, and seeing accounts of humans murdering one another and destroying their only environment.) This does not account for non-carbon based life forms that may exist and assumes a similar path of evolution. But that is a subject for another post.

In addition to having a new paranormal podcast with Kate Valentine called Shattered Reality, I was a guest on an interesting podcast called The Nature of Reality with Andrew Fisher. This may be slightly confusing since both podcasts contain the word “Reality” in the title. I think that is because we, as human beings, are trying to come to terms with an enhanced view of reality. Reality now encompasses more than that which is accessible to our five senses. Or does it. There is a philosophy that encourages us to first deal with the NOW, exactly and only what is happening at this instant in each of our lives. In fact, this is all that ever exists for each of us in human form. Personally I bounce back and forth between both states and try to remain present as much as possible.

My colleague Sharon Smith has always been an amazingly independent woman, traveling alone around the globe, and particularly in Asia. She has made a movie in India centering on her experiences getting herself psychic consultations (especially astrology readings) on the subcontinent. She is, herself, a gifted astrologer, with whom I have had the pleasure to work.
“Saturn Saved Me” is a spiritual road movie about Sharon’s search for understanding her life’s development and what’s in store for the future. Sharon visits Indian astrologers and healers and looks for an ancient palm leaf that reveals her destiny. She discovers that her past life deeds are preventing her from being happy as well as keeping her single AND what’s more, she has a curse! As a contemporary American woman, her predicament is both humorous & poignant as she confronts the collision between Western values & ancient Eastern beliefs.

Dictionary.com defines Pareidolia as the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist, as in considering the moon to have human features. Here we see a remarkable resemblance between the owner of the bamboo paper towel and the towel itself. The man noticed the face the day after he had used the towel and put it up to dry. A cutting board had been laid against the wet towel and flattened it. The man received the roll of reusable bamboo towels as a gift from his ecologically aware daughter. I would have been more freaked out about this phenomena if the towel looked like one of my recently deceased friends. What do you think, dear reader, pareidolia or???
Happy Halloween!

Isis was known in ancient Egyptian religion as the Mother Goddess. Isis was both the wife and sister of Osiris. Because she resurrected Osiris, who had been killed by his brother Set, Isis was considered “more powerful than a thousand soldiers” and “the clever-tongued one whose speech never fails.” Isis was revered for her role as the mother of Horus, one of Egypt’s most powerful gods. She was also the symbolic mother of every Pharoah of Egypt, and all of Egypt itself.

On the other hand, the members of the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant have murdered and raped women and children with no compunction whatsoever. They have no respect for the divine feminine. One of my remote viewing teachers and the founder of the SchwartzReport, social commentator Stephan A. Schwartz sums the situation up neatly as follows:

The comedienne known to all the World as Joan Rivers was known to me as Mrs. Rosenberg. She was a party client of mine for a number of years. She hired me to entertain as a psychic reader at her sumptuous home and at her business office for events celebrating the holiday season. I also once read palms at an event she created just for her women friends at an upscale hotel on the East Side of Manhattan. It was a Spring Hat Party. There were around forty women present (if memory serves me correctly), all celebrities or socialites who were asked to wear a stylish hat of their choice. I also wore a hat, a Middle Eastern pillbox affair. The favors given at the end of the event were specially decorated chocolate hats in mini hat boxes. Mrs. Rosenberg gave me one to take home with me.
On Tuesday night September 2, 2014, lying in my bed, I was engaged in meditation which is my regular habit. Although I had been informed by the TV newscasts several days prior that there had been a medical emergency involving Joan Rivers (I always wished her well), I was not at the time thinking of her whatsoever. She appeared in front of me suddenly in my blank meditation space declaring definitively that she did not want her body to be maintained on life support. She did not want to be kept alive by machines. She also gave me the message that I should keep moving (remain active as possible – more about that later). I was perplexed by her visit to me. Many will relegate my experience to that of an overactive imagination, but she seemed very real to me and, as I stated, I had not been thinking of her before my meditation. I did not know what to do with the information I was given. I had met her daughter Melissa several times and read for her at the parties more than once, but I did not think it was appropriate to try to reach her and tell her about my experience. I also thought of trying to reach the couple who were her housekeepers and were very friendly to me when I worked there, but I did not. (more…)
