A few days ago I received a link to a mind-blowing account of synchronicity reported by Dean Radin on YouTube. Dean Radin is an amazing parapsychologist who is the author of three books including the award-winning The Conscious Universe (HarperOne, 1997), Entangled Minds (Simon & Schuster, 2006), and the 2014 Silver Nautilus Book Award winner, Supernormal (Random House, 2013). I am a great admirer of his work.
After sharing this video on FaceBook I received this wonderful account of a somewhat similar synchronicity from a friend, Jon Decker, a retired educator and chiropractic doctor. He has kindly allowed me to share it with you, dear reader:
“I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in June of 1988 and received my Pa license to practice in September of same year. I went to work with my former Chiropractor, who had a very successful practice in Philadelphia. Although I was a 38 year old man with a B.S., M.Ed. and now a D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic degree) I was being paid $300.00 per week. Needless to say, I was very unhappy. I was contemplating what to do when I remembered a week-long seminar I had taken in the mid-70s called Silva Mind Control in which we had learned to do “creative fantasy”.
“I must inject some Philadelphia geography here for my story to have its fullest impact. Philadelphia was very well planned and laid out in grid fashion. Dividing the city is Broad Street (which would be 14th St. if not named Broad) which runs North and South, dividing downtown West and East. The East side of Broad St. runs from Broad in declining numbers to 2nd St. then Front St., then the Delaware River. I was working on the West side of Broad Street and had a gentleman’s agreement that if I left the office I was working in, I would not practice Chiropractic on the West side of Broad.
“Having remembered Silva Mind Control, I sat down, relaxed and using techniques from Silva went to my alpha level. I imagined a practice for sale, immediately, somewhere between Broad St. going East to 7th Street (about 7 blocks) and from Market St. (North) to South St. (South) (about 7 blocks). So we have a square 7 blocks by 7 blocks. I imagined that this practice would be for sale for $10,000.00.
“I then came out of my alpha level and laughed at myself. A practice for $10,000 would be so ridiculously low priced, let alone my very specific parameters.
About an hour later a good friend called and knowing how bummed I had been wanted to take me out for a drink to a bar called Uncles to cheer me up. I declined, but he was persistent so I agreed to go. While ordering our drinks at the bar, the bartender asked Jerry (my friend) if he knew of any good Chiropractors in town. Of course Jerry told him I had just become one. I asked the bartender if he already had a Chiropractor and he said he did, but that the guy was leaving town in a couple of weeks. I asked if the Chiropractor had sold his practice and the bartender responded that he had tried, but that no one had shown interest. I got the name of the Chiropractor and his address and went there the next day. He had an office with x-ray, computer, billing software and was seeing about 30 patients per week. He had purchased a practice in Virginia and was taking over in 2 weeks down there. I asked him what he was asking for the practice and he responded that he had given up trying to sell it, so he would settle for $10,000.
“This practice, which I bought that day was located in the middle of the block on 11th St. between Spruce and Locust Streets, which was almost at the middle of the parameters of the square I had imagined.
“As I finish this testimony, my arms and legs are covered in goosebumps as they always are when I relate this true story.”
Thank you Dean and Jon, for sharing your stories. I have written other posts on this blog about synchronicity including Ilene Weiss’s Strange Synchonicity, Holotropic Synchronicity and More Than Co-Incidence. For more simply press the tag “synchronicity” in the word cloud to the right.

I love this story, it illustrates how beautifully and purposely synchronicity works. If we put our needs out into the universe, it will respond.

I was in the dentist chair, getting fitted for my tooth implant, anyway, I had
commented to my friend, the dentist, I miss my Mom’s comments, You see he knew my mother years back and by the way Mom is on the other side now, An hour later I stopped in a store before I got the train from Long Beach and heard a song that reminds me of her, and my feelings about the loss.
some of the words are, ” I get off the train, ….. and I miss you, ”
By the way I took the train there today and was always taking trains to see Mom, Funny right??? I had just mentioned her, it was like the Universe was
echoing or Mom was answering back, Unbelievable and I have alot more of these.
Thanks Fahrusha, you always have good topics, I just happened to be looking up syncronicity explanations on you tube a few days ago,

Thanks Gerry. I think I know your dentist too. 🙂 When you are close to a person, like a mother or a lover, the connection is always there. She is always with you.

Fahrusha is always very insightful and her stories about synchronicity encourage us to be more intense about focusing on our desires.. Everyone has something that they wish to take place.

Dear Nina, I think you understand my intent in this article. The experience one has depends on what you visualize and what you “believe” is true. Thank you for your comment.

When it happens to me, I also have doubts about free will existence and feel manipulated. I think free will exists only on our subconscious levels. Subconscious imagination always takes over conscious intentional will. Just red books by Emile Coue on this subject. In 1920th Emile Coue, French psychotherapist, was curing over 15000 patients per year, using his autosuggestion method.

Hi Yuri, Have you considered the infinite Universes theory in which all outcomes exist. You choose your path and get to experience that Universe. Thanks for your comment.

Great post, thanks for sharing it with us! I particularly liked Dean Radin’s take on his amazing synchro, that the two men had exerted a kind of “gravitational pull” on each other.
I remember an artist in California who felt that she had “been collaborating with another artist somewhere for 30 years, and we’ll probably never meet”. I often sense we’re linked, when we engage in higher creativity, with other minds.

Dear Lauren, I agree some of the best ideas I get seem to come out of the ether. Intention helps too. Thanks for your comment.

He did a great job of visualizing then getting out of the way – that’s the hard part for me.
July 22, 2014 at 4:0 1
Yes, letting go of the visualization in order to let the Universe take over is hard for many people. It is particularly hard when dealing with romantic love. Thanks so much for the comment.

Thanks. Good to review. I have Dean Radin’s book given to me by Noetic Science Institute. I try to work with these principles. thanks again for your review of how we create our reality. Martha
